Favourite Tea Room Project - #146

The Shabby Tea Room are having a 'Favourites Week' and all you have to do is link up your Favourite Tea Room Project that you did for 2012.  I entered this project in June and here's a summary of what I posted for the challenge.

The Shabby Tea Room Sweet Summertime Inspiration

Challenge Photo

The theme was Sweet Summertime using the beautiful photo for inspiration and the colours TEAL or AQUA, PINK and BROWN.

You can see why I couldn't resist as I had a bit of an obsession with making tea cup easel cards.  However, this one was a little different as I used the largest Nested Tea Cup Die and some gorgeous Origami Paper, Kaiser Craft Flowers and a little 'chocolate' (SU).

 Sweet Summertime Inspiration ...
... at The Shabby Tea Room  using aqua, pink and brown.

I was thrilled to be chosen as the 'winner' for that particular challenge -

... and was offered a Guest spot for August but unfortunately had to decline as life was a little frantic back then with work and getting ready to go on a big holiday to Fiji.

Now that I am a SU Demonstrator again, I have been working on a new tea cup easel card using SU products and can't wait to share that with you soon.

Thanks for taking the time to stop by and re-visit a favourite project, which has prompted me to work on the usual 'round up' of favourites for 2012.

It's Been Awfully Quiet Around Here!

It's been quiet on the blog front but definitely crazy, mad, busy on the home and work front!

I only have a couple more teaching days until I'm on Summer Holidays and despite all the busyness associated with this time of the year, I have been secretly planning a little venture to kick off the New Year in the form of a challenge blog.

It was in the planning stages even before I joined my first DT and that was 3 years ago!  How time flies.  I'm so glad I got to experience a few Design Teams before launching into this and I'm really excited about the launch on Wednesday, 2nd January.

I'm itching to use a few new stamp sets and accessories that have been sitting in a brown box for ages but I've literally had no time for any stamping.  I think most teachers will empathise with me at this time of the year.

Anyway, the Christmas cards for the family, Ryan's Graduation card and a few tutorials that are in the process of being put together, will have to wait a few more days.

Until I get around to posting anything 'crafty' ... here's a little sneak peek at what's in store.

Stamping Still has joined with addINKtive designs to create still addINKtive challenges.

I'm thrilled that my friend, Kathy Tanner, has decided to be Co-Manager of the site and we also have a fantastic line up of Guest Designers for the first 3 months.

The blog will go live soon so stay tuned!

Thanks for paying a visit.

JAI 146 - Summer Silhouettes

Just Add Ink have a beautiful colour challenge this week.  I couldn't resist a little bit of 'time out' from the usual Saturday housework to ink up a new stamp set, Summer Silhouettes, and play around with Kim's gorgeous choice of colours.

JAI 146 - Summer Silhouettes

It's less than three weeks until Summer Holidays and I think this set will become one of my new favourites over the Christmas Break.
